Kate Middleton tops the list of best celebrity hair

Women all over the world admire Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, for her elegant style, skincare routine and composed demeanor, but her most sought-after quality just may be her hair. According to a recent survey, more than one quarter of women polled said that the British royal has the best hair of any celebrity, Female First reports.

The duchess may have the resources of an entire monarchy at her fingertips, but it's relatively easy for women to mimic her hairstyle. Getting picture-perfect hair starts with choosing the right shampoo and hair conditioners. Top products will work to restore hair that's been damaged while also infusing locks with nutrients needed to maintain volume and shine. Some styling finishers, like Fekkai's Advanced Brilliant Glossing Cream, can add glossiness to any type of hair.

Once the hair has the right texture, consider styling it in a half-up, half-down manner, as Kate Middleton frequently does. To add some spark, incorporate subtle waves with a 1-inch curling iron to add bounce to the look, Hollywood Life reports. You'll want to set it with styling products like hair spray, but don't go too heavy, as stiffness in your locks can ruin the natural effect.

Double the fun with two-tone eye makeup

One of the trends sweeping runways around the world is two-tone eye makeup. While pulling off this colorful style may seem difficult, it's actually quite manageable for anyone who doesn't mind taking a few risks with their beauty routine.

The first thing you have to do is choose two complementary colors of eyeshadow. Popular combinations include peach and brown, light and dark gray, or even more daring pairings like blue and purple. Another idea is pairing a neutral tone with a brighter eyeshadow, as this can help you achieve a vibrant look. If you're feeling really adventurous, you may even want to mix eye shimmer or glitter into the process for a fun nighttime look.

You should apply the lighter color to the entire eyelid first, extending all the way up to the eyebrow if it is a light or flesh-colored tone. Then add the darker shade to the lower lid and outer corner of your eye. This can be done in a variety of ways, such as filling in the entire outer half of the lid, applying it in a horizontal V-shape or using the shadow as an eyeliner

Once you've completed all the steps, consider grabbing a setting spray to keep eye shadow from wearing off in the heat and humidity this summer.

Choose a nude lip color that works with your skin tone

Choose a nude lip color that works with your skin tone

Nude lips are all the rage, but choosing the wrong tone can leave your face makeup looking drab instead of fab. Picking the wrong shade can wash you out and ruin the look you're aiming for, so it's important to learn how to pull off a nude lip

One way to find the right hue is to conduct the wrist test. Test the color by dabbing it on the underside of your wrist to make sure the sheer lipstick is one to two shades darker than your skin tone. You should also be looking at the undertones of the color, as matching the lipstick's tones to your natural ones is an ideal way to achieve a natural look. Fair-skinned individuals should look for hints of pink, while medium-skinned ladies can be on the lookout for rose or beige undertones and those with darker skin should search for bronze tints.

If you're not sure how the nude lipstick is going to work, consider looking for a sheer, pale pink or peachy color. That way, you can still get the minimalist look that is popular now while also rounding out your appearance with warmer hues. Layering a lightly colored lip gloss over nude lipstick can also achieve this effect.

Kate Hudson wows with bold makeup

All eyes were on Kate Hudson as the star walked the red carpet at the first annual Novak Djokovic Gala in London July 8. The actress reveled in the spotlight thanks to her flawless makeup, which combined dark eye makeup with a lighter, more playful shade of lip color.

Hudson let her green eyes stand out with the help of black eyeliner and dark eyeshadow. She outlined her entire eye with the bold liner, complementing it with slightly lighter, purple-gray shadow framing her eyes. This unique smokey eye was perfectly done and certainly had the actress looking mysterious.

Many celebrities have rocked bright lips recently, and Hudson must have taken note of this trend. Her fuchsia lipstick was a great balance with her dark eyes, and it worked without becoming too bright and clashing with the rest of her look.

The dramatic makeup meshed well with her edgy gray dress. Thanks to a studded clutch and asymmetrical hemline, there was a distinct punk feel to the ensemble, which Hudson carried through in her makeup. Although the actress stuck to dark tones, the fun nature of the lipstick kept her appearance from becoming too goth and helped to make her one of the best dressed of the night.

The secret to a perfect smokey cat eye is in the eye pencil

Want your eyes to look sexy and alluring? If so, you've probably perfected the art of creating a foolproof smokey eye, but blending this eye makeup trend with a more classic technique can be both smoldering and sophisticated. One of the coolest looks gaining steam everywhere from the red carpet to the runway is a smokey cat eye, which combines the chic appearance of a smokey eye with the timeless appeal of an elongated, feline-inspired eye shape.

To get this top look, you need to have a great eyeliner. A soft pencil or liquid liner will do, but you have to have a long-lasting, reliable product that won't waver – no matter how late into the night you wear the makeup. Borghese Cosmetics offers an Eye Accento Pencil that's designed to last for hours without irritating your eyes. Another great option is BABOR's Maxi Definition Eye Contour Pencil, which provides bold color that will help you shape the eye with ease.

The dark eyeliner will be used to line the inner rims of your eyes, as well as for creating the signature cat shape on your lid, so it's extremely important that you choose a product that you're comfortable with – and one that won't let you down. Also, pick a shadow that will blend well with your eyeliner, helping to create a smokey look with a well-defined shape.  With the help of the right liner, you'll be rocking the smokey cat eye in no time.

Strike a balance between classy and fun with glitter nails

Glittery fingernails are all the rage, but you may find you're not totally comfortable rocking this style in a corporate environment. Don't worry – there are a few ways you can add some sparkle to your tips while keeping them appropriate for everything from summer weddings to office functions.

An easy way to make glitter nails suit a business setting or elegant occasion is to use metallic colors, as opposed to neons or jewel tones. Silver and gold sparkles can work with a variety of outfits and are subdued enough to still look professional in the office. You can even choose glitter nail polish that has flecks of varying sizes – larger chunks of glitter will be bolder, while smaller sparkles will give you a more subtle effect.

If metallic shades are still too much for you, consider testing out the trend with what's known as a "party nail." While most of your fingers may be adorned with your typical shade, one nail is singled out with a little bit of extra bling. Adding glitter nail polish to just a single nail allows you to participate in this hot style while still keeping a clean and sophisticated look.

Although dressing up your nails with a few sparkles is fun, taking off glittery polish isn't always as great. With the help of a few simple tips, however, you'll be able to use nail primers and removers easily to change the color to match your mood and style. For instance, try using a piece of crafting felt soaked in nail polish remover to remove the polish – its fibers will swiftly swipe away stubborn flecks of glitter.

Complement bright lipstick with a pearly-white smile

You already know that neon lipstick is one of the hottest summer makeup trends – but do you know all about the tricks you can use to pull off this look? While matching the lip color to your outfit and face makeup is certainly important, one of the most effective things you can do to set off your bright lips is to make sure your teeth are an equally brilliant shade of white.

Not much will complement neon hues more than a pearly white teeth, and you can achieve this by investing in teeth whitening systems designed to give you all the tools you need to feel confident in your smile. Before you try one of the gels, rinses or whitening toothpastes, there are a few things you should know.

For one, there's a difference between surface whiteners and teeth bleaches. Bleaches actually change the color of the tooth and should be done in a dentist's office with proper supervision. Although store-bought versions of this are out there, you should still talk to a dentist before using them in case there are any concerns about your teeth.

Surface whiteners, however, only remove stains from the tooth surface and are typically available in gels or pastes that can be used as part of a home care system with ease.
