You know how you text your friends you are on way, while you still haven’t even started getting ready? Or call your boss to tell them, you are stuck in traffic while all that’s stuck is your curling wand in your hair?

We have all been there and done that. Thanks to snoozing alarms, sleeping-in late or actual responsibilities other than reaching on time, we all have things that cause us to run late and our extended beauty routines definitely do not help.

To help all of you reach on time (maybe only once in a while), we are listing down 7 Beauty Hacks to Help You Get Ready Faster.

Apply Dry Shampoo at Night

You always don’t have time to wash your hair in the morning. Or, at night. So what do you do with those greasy strands? Fix them up with a healthy dose of dry shampoo like Fekkai – Blowout Hair Freshener Dry Shampoo. But that takes a good 10 minutes too, to evenly distribute the product and wait for its residue to settle down before being able to show off non-greasy strands.

A good way to avoid all the dry shampoo drama in the morning is to apply it at night. Liberally spray the dry shampoo across the roots and let your beauty sleep tossing and turning do the rest of the job. When you wake up in the morning, your hair will be ready to go with no extra efforts!

Salt Spray Waves

Oh, the woes of straight hair!

Especially with the cold weather approaching us fast. There is nothing more unflattering than those drop dead straight hair. And, styling them early morning, when you haven’t even had your coffee yet? Pure torture.

A quick way to get effortless waves without having to use a tonne of products or heat tools, is by using a salt spray like Fekkai – Soleil Beach Waves Spray.

Spritz a good quality salt spray liberally all over your hair and wrap them in a bun. Allow the spray to dry and give your hair texture before opening it, to reveal gorgeous beach-y waves. Voila!

Flat Iron Waves

If you are not a big fan of salt sprays and their unintended crunchiness, you can still treat your straight hair to beautiful waves without too much effort.

A good hack to create some bendy textured waves, with minimal effort, is to braid your hair and then, passing a hot flat iron over it to give them the gorgeous wavy look.

Depending on how thick your hair is, you can either create one, two or four braids. The idea is to ensure that a good amount of heat reaches all of your hair to give a wavy effect all over.

Icy Manicure Dip

Didn’t had time for a salon trip for a manicure over the weekend?

No problem. Just hide those chipped nails with a gorgeous coat of any of your favorite nail color (we LOVE Lippmann Collection Nail Lacquers).

Left it till the last minute and worried you will smudge it all over as you dive into your purse to find the car keys? Give your manicure an icy cold bath.

Fill a bowl with ice cubes and run cold water on top of it to fill the bowl. Once you are done painting your nails, dip your hand in the ice-cold water to instantly dry the nail color. The cold water ensures that the nail color is dried through the layer and not just on top, making your hands all ready to go in a rush.

Line and Curl Lashes in One Go

Getting the perfectly lined eyes is a feat in itself. Add to it curling lashes to ensure your mascara gives the falsies effect and you have a makeup mess at your hand. Especially when you are running out of time.

An easy way to get both things done in one go is to simply line the edge (base) of your eyelash curler with an eye pencil like Youngblood Intense Color Eye Pencil. Depending on how thick you like your eyeliner to be, the edging can be as thick or thin as you want.

Place the base of your eyelash curler as close as possible to your upper lashline and squeeze and release as you usually do. Do it a couple of times to make sure that the eyeliner is well-smudged across the lashline AND your eye lashes are curled to perfection. Voila! Two jobs done in one go. Could you be more lazy?

Smokey Eye on the Run

Well, it’s not the smokey eye that’s actually on the run, but you get the point.

Smokey eye is an entire makeup course in itself even when you have an ample amount of time. Add time constraints to it and only and all you get is raccoon eyes.

To create a smokey eye effect on the run, grab a pigmented eye pencil and draw a hashtag on the outer edge of your eyes (as seen in the picture below). Grab a smudging brush and well, smudge away. If you want a more intense look, repeat the process over the first hashtag till you get your desired color.

Use Multi-tasking Products

This is not actually a beauty hack, just the genius of the beauty industry.

When you don’t have much time at your hands and you are trying to color co-ordinate your lips with your blush or simply when you can’t find the right products in a hurry, multi-tasking products actually act as life-savers.

Products like Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip and Cheek Color work equally well to give you a gorgeous dose of color on both your lips and cheeks. Some people even use them on the eyes for good measure. Result? A gorgeous, glowing you in the minimal time possible.
