Three Overnight Remedies For Unsightly Pimples

We’ve all had it happen before – the night before a big interview, meeting or date, a pimple appears right in the middle of your face. You might already be desperately searching for the perfect concealer to hide the flaw in your skin, but what if you didn’t have to worry about covering it up with makeup? There are a few overnight home remedies you can try, and you just might not have to concern yourself with the zit come sunrise!

1. Cover it with toothpaste
This is the oldest trick in the book, according to TLC, and it can be one of the most efficient ways to stop a pimple in its tracks. Apply a white, non-gel formula to your zit and it will dry out overnight.

2. Sprinkle a little lemon juice
It may sound silly, but wiping some lemon juice on your zit may be just the trick you need, according to Total Beauty. Lemon juice can help you shrink the size of the blemish.

3. Give it a good chill
Another way to reduce the appearance of your pimple is to apply ice to it. The coldness can limit inflammation and help the pimple heal.

About Lia Marchand

Shayna Murphy is a beauty blogger from Amherst, Massachusetts, who can trace her love of beauty products back to the one afternoon when she convinced her grandmother to buy her lime green nail polish. She enjoys cooking (Indian-style dishes are a specialty!), is a bit of a history buff and collects antique milk vases. Shayna reports on the latest makeup, skincare and fashion trends and will try to convince you on a regular basis that yes, you really should wear sunscreen daily. My favorite beauty product is... - Anything containing sea salt. It's probably the most amazing exfoliant I've ever used and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smoother than ever. Can't leave the house without my... - Lip gloss. The rest of the day can be a total bust, but if I have a great gloss on I feel like at least I've done one thing right! I would describe my style as... - Definitely au naturale. While I love exploring new shades of eyeshadow and liner on special occasions, for me the most important part of any beauty regimen is keeping my skin clear and blemish-free.
