Sleek styles are a staple this fall!Flat ironing your hair is the key to giving it a smooth shine that will last all day. According to Glamour magazine, sleek glossy hair is going to be all the rage this fall, which means it's probably about time you learned how to do it right.

The first step starts in your shower. Suds up with your favorite shampoo, then use a sleekifying conditioner like Dermalogica – Silk Finish Conditioner to get your strands in shape for a serious blow out. After you've showered, blow dry your hair on low heat to avoid excessive heat damage and use a round brush to smooth your hair as you go. Finish with a blast of cold air to set the cuticle.

Next, get your flat iron ready. It's best to have one with ceramic plates, which are less damaging for your hair. If you have thick or course hair, turn the heat up over 200 degrees – but keep it less if your locks are fine. Iron your hair by sections, keeping them about 2 inches wide and ½ inch thick. Use clips to pull back any hair you're not currently straightening. Start at the root and clamp it down as you smoothly pull it down over the entire strand. Go over your entire head.

Once you've finished, use a serum like Leonor Greyl – Serum de Soie Sublimateur (Anti-frizz) to lock in the shine and keep your look frizz free. Perfect!
