Have you ever noticed how some stars rock the red carpet with long, gorgeous locks one night and show up a few days later with a chic bob? Sure, there are extensions and major haircuts that might come into play sometimes, but one of the latest celebrity hair trends is the faux bob. Believe it or not, it's easy to create yourself!
Start out with a reparative shampoo in the shower, which will strengthen weak or broken hair, leaving it much softer and more manageable. A complementary conditioner will further prep your strands for styling.
Now, it's up to you to decide if you want a curly or straight faux bob. Depending on your choice, you may need to use a curling iron or a straightener to achieve the texture you're looking for.
When that's finished, gather your hair into a low ponytail and use a small elastic to secure it loosely toward the end of the tail. Tuck the end underneath the tail and roll the entire thing up toward the nape of your neck. It's okay if a few pieces fall out – especially if you have shorter layers!
Secure the roll of hair in place with plenty of bobby pins, then use a hairspray like Fekkai – COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray for added hold. That's it!
