Chances are, if you've ever had long hair, you've worn a ponytail. It's one of the easiest ways to manage bedhead and pull hair away from your face. However, there are a few tips and tricks for making the perfect pony that you may not be aware of, according to Glamour magazine's beauty blog.
If you're trying to create a glamorous ponytail that's not at all gym-worthy, it's essential to start with plenty of volume. Use Leonor Greyl – Condition Naturelle to add body while blowdrying, then add a bit of texture with Leonor Greyl – Eclat Naturel.
"A good gauge to where to place your high ponytail is follow the natural line of your cheekbone toward the top of your head," celebrity hairstylist Marcus Francis told the news source. "Tilting the head back while smoothing the nape area will help it from sagging, keeping it tight and clean in the back."
If you notice any bumps, use the end of a tail comb to push them back toward the ponytail, which should disguise them. Don't forget to wrap the elastic with a strand of the ponytail – this keeps it looking elegant.
