If you've never had the guts to try pulling off a smokey eye makeup look, you're truly missing out. It's one of the sexiest ways you can make your stare smoldering and super defined, so you're bound to get tons of attention. Here's a foolproof way to apply it for yourself, courtesy of Glamour magazine's beauty blog.
First off, you should know that a smokey eye should be worn with neutral makeup everywhere else. If you're going out at night, you may be able to get away with a bolder lip, but otherwise keep your face understated.
Start out by using a black eyeliner pencil on your bottom and top inner rims, like GloMinerals – gloPrecision Eye Pencil. You can use a bit to line your upper lash line, but you don't really need to if you already have thick lashes. Next, you'll need a gray eyeshadow, like BABOR – Eye Shadow in Grey. Use it all the way around your eyes, up to the creases. Finally, choose a copper shadow to go a bit past the crease and just below your brows.
Top your lashes off with mascara, use a bit of highlighter in the inner corners of your eyes, then get ready to strut your stuff.
