Berry shades are good for your lips! You know that hot red lipstick is always in, but not everyone feels comfortable pulling off such a bold look. Even if you're going out and want to be noticed, you may feel like fire engine red is just too much. That's where fall's gorgeous berry hues come in handy. Take a cue from Charlize Theron, who Glamour magazine's beauty blog spotted wearing a beautiful raspberry shade.

Berry colors are bold and rich, but not overly bright. They stand out against the darker colors of fall without hogging all of the attention. Ideally, a berry-colored lipstick will look like a natural stain from eating…you guessed it. Berries!

Before you apply, it's important to prep your lips by exfoliating. The last thing you want are flakes showing up through the color. Use your toothbrush to gently buff lips, then choose a liner that matches the lipstick you're using. BORGHESE – Perfetta Lip Pencil is the perfect choice.

Once the liner is applied, slick on a berry shade like GloMinerals – gloLip Stick in Raspberry. Blot with a tissue, then apply a second coat. Finish it off with a translucent powder to set the color, and you're ready to show off bold lips that aren't overdoing it.
