The beauty world has several rules that many women try to abide by, like never wearing a lip liner that's darker than your lipstick or never mixing a bold eye with a bold lip. But of course, all of these rules are meant to be broken. Model Coco Rocha recently chose to break the bold lip/bold eye rule at a screening of People Like Us, mixing a dark smoky eye with vibrant red lips.
According to Glamour Magazine's beauty blog, the pairing of the bold, graphic eye and the tomato red lips was a daring choice, but one that worked. Coco even took it a step further by mixing up the traditional smoky eye with a dynamic application that featured unblended eyeshadow edges and a lower lash line that was bare on the inner corners. She also used plenty of bronzer to color her cheeks.
