It's hard to believe that just six years ago, Carrie Underwood wasn't a household name. However, after winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, Underwood became one of music's hottest performers. And while singing may be her passion, the girl sure seems to love her cosmetics.
"I'm a huge makeup person," Underwood confessed to InStyle magazine. "[I] have more makeup than any woman should own in her lifetime…I love colors, but usually I wear black on my eyes. I'm a blonde, so if I do pinks and purples and bright colors I feel Barbie-esque."
To find out the combinations that work best on you, Underwood recommends playing with eyeshadow and lipstick during your downtime.
"Be adventurous! You'll be really surprised what you learn," the told the news source. "Mix lip colors to find the perfect shade, layering dark and light ones. Mix types also, like glosses with mattes."
We're definitely going to heed Underwood's advise – we can't recall a time that the songstress stepped out looking anything but phenomenal.
