If the first few colors you think of when you hear the word "eyeliner" are black, brown and MAYBE white, it's probably time to spice it up a bit. You could do that with a simple line of blue or purple eyeliner, but why not take it to the extreme with rainbow eyeliner? Halloween is just around the corner, after all. Here's how to get the look, according to The Beauty Department.
First thing's first: you'll need to stock up on several different colors of eyeliner, whether it's liquid eyeliner or pencil. You don't have to go the ROYGBIV route to get a perfect rainbow, but try to pick an assortment of colors that are different yet still look good together.
The source recommends starting with a darker color on your lash lines, as this will help define the shape of your eyes and make your lashes look thicker. Just draw a line like your normally do, and flick it out a bit past your outer corners for a cute cat eye.
Now do the same thing with the rest of the colors, tracing them just above the line you created along your lash lines. Stop when you get to the crease, then go back and neaten or darken lines if you need to. Use a cotton swab and makeup remover to fix up any mistakes, then add mascara and you're good to go!
