Household tricks to remove makeup stains on clothingWhen preparing for a night out, there are usually two main components to getting ready – putting on your outfit and doing your makeup. Sometimes, however, these steps result in an unfortunate incident and you end up with a spot of concealer or lipstick on your ensemble.

Luckily, Yahoo! Shine reports that you may not have to change your threads at the last minute, as long as you have a few handy items in your kitchen.

“If you’ve spilled liquid foundation onto a blouse, go to the kitchen and get some baking soda,” the website suggests. “Sprinkle the powder onto the stain until it’s completely covered and press it gently into the fabric. Wet a nailbrush or a toothbrush and lightly brush the spot.”

You can also treat the concealer stain with a piece of white bread – as long as the fabric is washable. According to the news source, knead the slice into a ball and it will easily blot-up foundation.

If you end up with a smear of lipstick on your shirt, the bread trick can work as well. Unfortunately, you may have to don a new shirt before heading out, as experts recommend washing the garment after removing the mark with the bread.ADNFCR-3538-ID-19933814-ADNFCR
