Summer is the time to drop those dark, neutral polishes in favor of lighter, more cheerful colors that pair better with the vibe of the season. Once you've got an assortment of pretty shades, it's time to bring them together for a fabulous floral mani. Here's how to rock one, according to The Beauty Department.
First, paint your nails with a light color, such as white, peach or a pale pastel. Lippmann Collection – Nail Lacquers has a variety of awesome shades to choose from. Once that's dried, you'll need a selection of two or three colors, which can be anything your heart desires. Orange, blue, pink, yellow or purple are all valid options.
Now, get a small paintbrush and pour out a small puddle of each polish onto a paper plate. You'll also need a bit of nail polish remover, like BABOR – Nail Color Remover. Pour a bit into a cup or small bowl, then dip your paintbrush into it.
Now, just make abstract flower shapes using all of the colors on your palette. They don't have to be perfect – but make sure to clean your brush in between hues. Fade them a bit more with a remover-diluted coat of white polish, then seal with a topcoat!
