An icy stare with cool metallic eyeshadow is perfect for winter!

Looking for a cool new eye makeup look that’s perfect for wintertime? Why not take a cue from the outdoors and go with icy metallic eyeshadow on your lids to give your peepers a frosted effect? When done right, this shimmery stare is perfect for any occasion, from date night to casual Friday. Here’s the how-to.

First, Allure magazine recommends using a brown or black eyeliner like Too Faced – Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner to line your upper and lower lash lines. Use your fingertip or a cotton swab to blend it in and soften the edges of the lines.

Now pick up a cool metallic eyeshadow, like silver, blue, white or lavender, and sweep it across your lids and into the inner corners of your eyes. Don’t bring it up past the creases, as you don’t want that much shimmer near your brow bones.

Play up the shape of your peepers and give them some definition with a brown eyeshadow blended smoothly into your creases and near the outer corners of your eyes.

Finish up with a lengthening mascara in brown or black, top your face off with a peach blush and a clear lip gloss, and you’ll be ready for anything!
