Industry insiders recommend universally flattering cosmeticsIt's not often that products are referred to as universally flattering, as items are often formulated to appeal to a specific group of women, such as brunettes or those with blue eyes. However, according to InStyle.com, there are a few cosmetics that may flatter everyone.

While often thought of as a regal color combination, it seems that purple and gold is also an appealing option for women everywhere. "Gold on inner corners brightens all eyes, while purple's broad appeal is that it's not too cool or too warm," the news source reports.

Gals can pair the pigments with cocoa-color liner as well, as the news provider reports that the hue will register on dark skin but won't overwhelm much lighter complexions.

To define lips, ladies can use a pinkish-brown lip liner and a sheer pink gloss. "Define lips with pinkish brown color [since] it won't look cartoonish on fair, medium or dark skin," the news outlet reports, adding that "sheer pink gloss complements all lip colors and never looks overdone."

Jane Iredale offers a wide range of products that may suit a variety of women, from Eye Pencil in Basic Brown to PureGloss lip gloss, which is available in a range of pinks.
