If you think Glee's Lea Michele is a fashion icon worth stealing style tips from, you might be interested to find out how she managed to update her signature smoky eye for summer. According to Glamour Magazine's beauty blog, Lea showed up to a recent event rocking a twist on the usual eyeliner and dark eyeshadow combination.
Instead of relying on smoky shades of black and gray to create drama, the sweet-voiced actress used a shimmery light blue shadow all around her eyes for a pretty halo effect. She applied the shadow after rimming her eyes with dark eyeliner and coating her lashes with lengthening mascara.
To get the look yourself, use a liquid eyeliner like BABOR – Liquid Eyeliner on your upper and lower lash lines. Navy blue or black would likely look best for this take on the smoky eye. Follow up with a bit of black or navy eyeliner pencil on your inner rims, then use a shadow like BABOR – Eye Shadow in Heaven to trace a thin line around the liquid eyeliner. Finish up with two coats of black mascara, and you're ready to rock Lea's look!
