Sometimes wearing the same old eyeliner, shadow and mascara combination can get a little boring. A classic look can definitely define your eyes and makes your face seem a bit more polished, but there are occasions when you just want to go crazy with the eye makeup and make a statement. Look no further than Evan Rachel Woods' eyes, which Glamour magazine commented on after a recent event.
Her makeup featured thick sweeps of black eyeliner winging out from the bottom lash line and the top lash line, not touching at the corners. A thick black line at her creases added some major definition, while a shimmery shadow peeked out from underneath.
To get the effect yourself, you'll need a shimmery eyeliner pencil, a bold black eyeliner like Blinc – Eyeliner, a pale, shimmery shadow and a black mascara like Paula Dorf – Mascara. Line your lower inner rims with the shimmery pencil, then sweep the shadow all over your lids on the top and bottom. Draw a line with the black eyeliner starting at your lower inner corner and sweeping straight out a little past your outer corners. Draw a thick line over your top lashes and wing it out the same distance, then draw a line in your creases, connecting the outer corner to the line from your upper lashes. Dust a translucent powder over it to increase its staying power and you'll have a daring night look.
