If you're searching for a color palette on which to build your spring makeup arsenal, look no farther than your own backyard. This year, it's all about garden-ready hues, and provided you stay true to this idea, you can guarantee you'll be the brightest flower in the bunch.
"The spring season is accented with wild violets – pops of color such as taupe, violet, mulberry and coral for eyes, lips and cheeks," makeup artist Tamara Halsey told The Huntsville Times. "Skin is healthy with lighter than air foundation perfectly matched to the skin."
Of course, while color variety is key, you don't want to wind up looking like a child's crayon masterpiece.
It's easy to balance complementing hues with delicacy, as long as you keep the following rules in mind. No more than two colors on your eyes, three colors maximum on your overall face and only one ultra-bright shade at a time.
