Every year, Pantone chooses a color of the year to represent what's going on in the world and what should be on your list of must-have shades. In 2011, it was Honeysuckle, but 2012's shade is a bit more feisty: Tangerine Tango.
According to Pantone, Tangerine Tango is "a spirited reddish orange, [that] continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward." It's a playful, dramatic shade that somehow manages to be sophisticated and classy at the same time. It should be appropriate for all seasons, especially summer, when bright colors are everywhere.
Allure magazine suggests incorporating tangerine into your makeup routine through nail polish and lipstick. Eyeliner is also do-able, but not always wearable.
