Blush goes on your cheeks, obviously. But if you want it to look natural and enhance the shape of your face, there are certain ways to apply it that will achieve the effect you're looking for. Here are some general rules, according to Allure magazine.
If you have a round face
Thin it out by applying blush at the apples of your cheeks. Brush it all along your cheekbones and go all the way up toward your temples. Paula Dorf – Cheek Color is super easy to blend.
If you have a thin face
Make it look fuller by using blush on the center of your cheeks, applying it in a circular motion. Blend it along your cheekbones and back toward your ears. A bit of highlighter on the apples, like ModelCo – Luminosity, also helps.
If you want defined cheekbones
Use a powder or a bronzer a couple of shades darker than your skin tone to create a bit of contour in the hollows of your cheeks. Sweep it over your outer cheekbones, then use a dab of highlighter on top of the cheekbones for added lift.
