When you think of a work party, the last word on your list of adjectives to describe the event is probably "sexy." It's just not a good idea to arrive at your shindig going all-out with fake lashes, bold lipstick and a smokey eye. These are still people you work with.
However, it's definitely okay to amp up your normal work makeup routine to allow for the festive occasion. Glamour magazine's beauty blog recently pointed to a look that Nicole Richie wore as an example of what to do for your holiday bash.
Start with your normal foundation, then use a nice peach lipstick, like BABOR – Classic Lip Color – 77 Glossy Peach. A peachy blush will also look nice on the apples of your cheeks. Next, use a black liquid eyeliner like BORGHESE – Linea Precisa Liquid Eyeliner (Black) to line your upper lashes, then a black pencil to line your inner rims. Dust a bit of pink shimmer over your lids, then use a gray eyeshadow to create depth in your creases. Finish it off with two coats of mascara. Perfect!
