Three common cosmetic mistakes you might be making dailyYou might think you're a pro when it comes to applying mascara, eyeshadow and lipstick, but what if your appearance isn't quite matching up to what you're seeing in magazines? Does it seem like you're always envying your friends for their flawless looks? Here are some common makeup mistakes you might be making and how to avoid them in the future.

1. Your eyeliner is too dark for your lipstick.
Lifescript.com reports that it's important to ensure you aren't going too dramatic when it comes to your eyeliner and mascara if you're keeping your lips light. Doing so can create an unsightly contrast.

2. Your blush is too bold.
Real Simple magazine states that if your blush is making your cheeks look like you just came out of the freezing cold, you're using the wrong color. Your blush should brighten your face and highlight your natural beauty – not make you look like a clown.

3. Your lip liner is too dark.
This mistake can actually make you look older if you aren't careful. Choose a light lip liner to keep your lipstick in check while giving definition to your pout.
