Unless you're an artist with an eye for subtle variations of color, you're probably not guaranteed to buy the right shade of foundation each and every time. We all make mistakes, especially when our skin is known to change shades from winter to summer. It's not hard to choose a foundation that doesn't perfectly match your complexion. But what can you do if you bought a shade that's too light? Here are three ways to make it work.
1. Blend it with another foundation. Mix your light shade with a darker color from the Youngblood – Liquid Mineral Foundation collection to create a custom fit. This may take some trial and error, but it's better than wasting that product!
2. Use it as highlighter. If you don't want to use a shimmery highlighter like GloMinerals – gloDust 24K, use the foundation for a subtler brightening effect. Apply it on the areas of your face that catch the most light.
3. Layer powder on top. If it's not that much lighter than your natural skin tone, you might get good results from simply applying a darker foundation powder or a bronzer after the lighter shade. Use a big fluffy kabuki brush to blend it well.
