Your nose is one of the most prominent features on your face, and because of this, it often gets plenty of attention from the sun. The tip of the nose is one of the most likely areas to get sunburned because it's exposed and vulnerable, meaning it's also one of the most common areas for nonmelanoma skin cancer, reports Allure Magazine. So how can you make sure it's totally protected?
First, make it a point to wear a wide-brimmed hat when you're outside for long periods. A cute hat is not only a great accessory, but it'll keep your nose in the shade. You'll also need a good sunscreen for the face that will offer you plenty of SPF for both UVA and UVB rays.
Keep in mind that because the skin on your nose is often oilier than the rest of your face, sunscreen will break down faster there. That means you should be reapplying it to your nose (and everywhere else, too) every two hours, after a swim or if you've been sweating.
What happens if you still managed to get a burn? Start out by covering the redness with a green-tinted concealer, then follow up with foundation as usual. This should be enough to get rid of that Rudolph look!
