Are you applying your eye cream correctly? You probably know that eye cream can work wonders on everything that can go wrong in that area, whether it's crow's feet, fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles or puffiness. But if you're not putting it on the right way, you might not be getting all of the benefits. In fact, you could be creating more problems! For example, have you ever woken up with puffy eyes after applying your nightly cream?

Luckily, there are a few simple tips that can help you get the most out of your products. First of all, try storing the container in the fridge. Keeping it cool can help de-puff your under-eye areas right away, and it feels wonderful smoothing it on after a long, rough day.

Next, be sure to apply the cream with your ring finger. This finger is the weakest, so it's best for using on the delicate skin around your eyes, since the light touch won't pull on your skin.

Finally, The Beauty Department recommends putting a product like Exuviance – Hydrating Eye Complex about ½ inch above your upper lash lines and the same distance away from your lower lash lines. The cream will sink in and travel a bit over time, so if you apply it too close to your eyes, it could end up in them, resulting in that dreaded puffiness!
