Many women want to look flawless in photographs, and to help this happen, ladies often practice their posing in the mirror. However, instead of working on their smiles, gals may want to rethink their beauty routine.
"Matte foundations are best for photographs," makeup artist Harpreet Sohanpal told Sky.com's Showbiz. "Use a liquid foundation on dry skin and powder on oilier skins, and apply make up slightly heavier than normal – 30 to 40 percent of makeup gets reduced in photographs."
While lip gloss is extremely flattering in real life, women who want to look great in a picture may want to opt for lipstick or tinted lip balm.
"Shades with matte or satin textures work best in photographs, especially with flash photography, as glossy lip shades appear as a bold white highlight which distorts lip shape," makeup artist Chase Aston told the news source.
Finally, beauty expert Catherine Barber recommends that women use an eyelash curler before putting on mascara and to apply a product to add extra definition to their arches, as brows tend to fade in photographs.
