Women everywhere are rocking dark-colored lipstick and autumnal-hued eye makeup, but gals who want to create an ethereal, fresh-faced look may want to consider donning an unexpected shade of cosmetics – white eyeshadow.

While this pigment is decidedly cooler than the warm tones often associated with fall, Elizabeth Moss recently proved that white shadow can look awesome in autumn.

At a recent event in France, the Mad Men star looked utterly angelic, wearing little more cosmetics than shimmery white eye makeup applied at the inner corner of her eyes, mascara and a sheer pink lip gloss.

And though rocking this shadow can be difficult, as too much can create a space-age vibe, InStyle magazine recommends dusting on more pigment than you deem necessary, as a light application can easily appear too sheer and subtle.

Finally, don’t forget to emphasize eyes with mascara. “Finish with a few coats of black mascara to avoid looking washed-out,” the news source suggests.

Youngblood Crushed Mineral Eyeshadow in Moonstone, a pure white shimmer, and Mineral Lengthening Mascara in Blackout can help any woman replicate Moss’ ethereal yet dynamic look.
