With so much talking, moving, licking, eating and drinking going on, it’s no wonder your lipstick is often the first of your makeup products to disappear. But reapplying it over and over again throughout the course of a night can be a pain, and there’s not always a mirror handy to ensure a precise application. Luckily, all it takes is four steps to make your lipstick last way longer than you ever thought possible.
1. Prep your lips with a gentle scrub. This will get rid of any flakes and provide a smooth surface for your lipstick to stick to. Wipe it off, then apply your lipstick as usual.
2. Use a tissue to blot your lipstick, folding it in half and pressing it in between your lips. This creates a strong layer of pigment that will act as a base.
3. Apply a translucent face powder over your entire lips. A fluffy eyeshadow brush will do the trick.
4. Slick on another coat of your lipstick. If you want to, add a dollop of lip gloss on the center of your bottom lip for added dimension. That’s it!
