Over the past 15 years, Gwen Stefani has transformed from a bindi-wearing, blue-haired ska diva into a glamorous style icon. The mother of two recently spoke to StyleList.com about her new role as a perfumer and, of course, her infamous red lipstick.

“People were asking me for years if I would have a fragrance – and I’d be like, ‘I’m in a band, why would I have a fragrance? Why would I have a fragrance named after me, it’s silly, why do people do that?’ It never clicked. But now being able to do a line and have fragrance and have clothes, it’s all part of the layers you wear, and it makes more sense,” Stefani told the news source.

While Stefani has a successful clothing line and a slew of number one hits, she may be most known for her painted pout.

“I don’t always wear red lipstick – people think they see me every day, but they don’t! I change it up. But my husband really loves the red, so I keep the red because I want to keep the husband,” the No Doubt frontwoman joked.

While her fragrances won’t be available until November, ladies looking to emulate Stefani’s style may want to pick up a bold red lipstick, like Borghese B Moisture Advanced Care Lipcolour in Carnevale Red.
