During the busy work week, there’s often little time for regular hair care. Despite this, you likely still want to look your best! Fortunately, there are several different methods and hairstyles that can keep you looking fresh and pretty, even when your time is limited. Below are three hairstyles and two hairstyle hacks to get your hair together in ten minutes or less!

10 Minute Beach Waves

Beach waves in ten minutes? It doesn’t sound possible, but fortunately, it is!

To get beach-worthy tresses in ten minutes, simply wet your hair (or use this method immediately after your shower). Next, flip your hair upside down and pat-dry so that it is not drenched, but damp. Apply a shape-boosting mousse, scrunching the hair upwards while your head is still tipped. Once the mousse is applied, flip your head back over. Attach a diffuser to your blow-dryer and then use low-heat to shake and scrunch as you dry for about five minutes.

Tease your hair, give it a good shake, and complete those beautiful waves with a flower or a headband.

Dressed Up Side Braid

The side braid is a go-to style for those of us who don’t have enough time to go all out, but dressing it up makes it even more cute and classy!

After pulling all of your hair to one side, braid it from the back to the ends. Secure the bottom with a ribbon and then on the opposite side of where the braid lies, pin in a pretty flower that matches the ribbon.

Sock Bun Spin-Off

The sock bun is very sleek and sophisticated, but you can make it more casual using these quick tips.

First, try the easier twist on the sock bun. Brush all of the tangles out of your hair, then put it in a high or low pony (the higher the pony, the higher your bun).

Next, cut the tip (toe area) off of an old, clean sock. Roll the sock up so that it looks like a doughnut. Pull the “doughnut” over your pony, like you’re putting a scrunchie on.

Then, flip your head upside down and let your hair fall over the sock to create a doughnut shape. Secure the hair in place with an additional rubber band.

Braid the hair that is remaining and then wrap it around the bun and secure with bobby pins.

To make the look a little less “clean,” pull some face-framing strands around the edges and around the back of the bun. You can also tease the hair at the scalp to add a little more volume.

Quick Tips for Dry or Greasy Hair

Greasy hair? No problem!
Add a small amount of baby powder or dry shampoo to your roots to soak up that extra oil. Then, put your hair in a high pony or a messy bun to further conceal the oils.

Dry hair? Add some moisture!
Spray or drop a small amount of moisture serum on your palm and rub them together. Smooth the serum over your hair and then flat iron only the ends to bring your dry hair back to life.

No matter what’s going on in your life or how much time you have to get ready, these simple hairstyle hacks are an excellent way to look your best with little time!
