Basic Topline

You should always start with the basics. A simple topline eyeliner look can be appropriate for everyday wear or dressed up for a night out with an intense lipstick shade or dramatic eye shadow. To get this look, first add a small amount of eyeshadow primer to the lid to keep the liner in place. Then press the outside corner of your eye to pull it tight and use the other hand to apply the liner along the upper lash line in small strokes. Open Up Those Eyes

Women with smaller eyes, those looking to hide a lack of sleep, or those who want a wide eyed romantic look can achieve benefit from a white eyeliner. Adding white just under the brow line and smudging it lightly downward will open up the whole area and make you look more awake. Smokey Eyes

For a sexy, smoky eye look, start with an eyeshadow primer as your canvas. Then place your eyeliner along the upper lash line, getting thicker as you move toward the outer corner of the eye. Use a brush to spread the line outward and very slightly upward from the edge of the eye. This will create a soft second corner. Follow up with mascara to complete this dramatic look.
