The excessive make up can fall into your eyes and cause a build up. Skin that is not maintained well can easily flake or look dehydrated. Be sure to use a three step skin care regime (cleanse, tone, moisturize)daily and exfoliate weekly.

Loose Powder cosmetics like eye shadows can flake easily and mascara can tend to have a similar problem. Using cream shadows may expel the problem of shadow appearing in other places. Mascara is not meant to be a long lasting product. It is recommended you replace your mascara at least every 3 months if not sooner. Mascara dries out quickly and if it is not stored properly it doesn’t stay active.

If you are rubbing your eyes or have allergies you should look at changing brands. Watery eyes or excessive friction may cause the make up to flake or come off. Try replacing your mascara with another brand or formula. Use an eye shadow base or concealer on your eyelids prior to applying powder eye shadow or switch to a cream eyeshadow. Remember, routine skin care has great results!
