How To Incorporate Braids And Buns In The Same Hairstyle
If you’re tired of choosing between the same few hairstyles every day, it’s probably time to find a new go-to ‘do. While down, up and half-up are all easy, something more fun will add variety and spice up your look! Why not try combining trendy braids with buns in the same hairstyle, like The Beauty Department did? Here’s how!
First, you’ll need to make sure that your hair has a good texture with plenty of hold. This can be achieved by using dry shampoo or by not washing your hair before styling.
Now separate a section of hair from either side of your head and pin them forward, getting them out of the way.
Next, create two buns in the back of your head – one on top of the other. Hold them in place with bobby pins or a small elastic.
Once those are done, unpin the front sections and braid them, securing the ends with a small elastic.
Finally, wrap one braid underneath the bottom bun, through the middle and up around the top bun. Pin it securely in place. Then wrap the other braid over the top bun, down through the middle and around the bottom bun before pinning it. The two braids should cross each other in the middle of the buns.
Finish up with a hairspray like Fekkai – COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray and you’re good to go!
