Have you always wished you didn’t need to go heavy on the cream foundation and concealer to hide your blemishes? Do you think you could never leave the house without wearing eyeliner? Then you might be doing yourself a disservice!

Natural is the way to go, as more Hollywood celebrities are showing, and there’s no shame in wearing less makeup. However, it can be a drastic change to go from spending your entire morning putting cosmetics on to feeling comfortable without applying any of it.

There are a couple of ways you can ease into this new look without throwing yourself into shock. First, Ladies’ Home Journal magazine recommends staying hydrated if you’re concerned about losing your dewy complexion. It’s no secret that dry skin can enhance the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Make sure you’re getting your daily dose of water and you won’t have to concern yourself with this issue.

Next, Bliss Tree recommends wearing powder and leaving it at that. If you aren’t comfortable going completely bare, a light powder can give you a free feeling and help you cover up any facial flaws.

Finally, opt for nude shades of makeup to ease into this new look. Neutral lipstick and blush can help you learn to appreciate your natural beauty.
