Ideas To Steal From Spring 2012 Fashion Week
The Spring 2012 Fashion Week has come and gone, but some of the looks featured at major runway shows are sure to be inspiration for many of this season’s trends. Try a few of these ideas, which Glamour magazine recommends.
1. Two-tone nails. Models from the Jen Kao show featured manicures that were black with colorful tips. While you’re unlikely to achieve the same graduated look at home (since you’d need an airbrush) it’s possible to recreate it by giving yourself a French manicure with the same color scheme. Just choose a black polish for the base and your favorite color for the tips. Be sure to top it off with a topcoat like Lippmann Collection – Addicted To Speed Ultra Quick-Dry Top Coat.
2. Braided ballerina buns. Bad hair days will be a thing of the past once you start incorporating this look into your routine. Simply pull your hair back into a ponytail, braid the tail and wrap it around the base.
3. Feathered hairdos. Feathers are totally in right now, which means any style that incorporates them is sure to be a hit. All you need to do is pull your hair back into some type of bun, pinning the ends wherever you see fit. Use a volumizing product like Leonor Greyl – Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice (Volumizing Styling Mousse) to get extra body. Then, slip in feathers in whichever color you choose.
