Keeping Your Eyeshadow From Creasing
Although eyeshadows are a great way to add definition to your eyes and experiment with pops of color, there’s nothing worse than shadow that continually creases. Before you give up on using it altogether, try a couple of these tips from Marie Claire magazine.
1. Before you apply, use an eyeshadow primer. It will give you a brighter base to work with and will prolong the length of your shadow, creating an effortlessly flawless look.
2. Get rid of excess oil on your eyelids by dusting them with face powder before applying eyeshadow. It’s the oil that makes your eyeshadow move around and collect in the creases of your lids.
3. Choose looser, powder-based shadows, which have less oily ingredients. Crushed Mineral Eyeshadow has plenty of awesome shades to choose from.
4. If possible, stay away from shimmery hues, which highlight creases more than colors with a lot of dark pigment.
As long as you take a bit of extra time to prepare your eyelids for shadow and avoid certain products, there’s no reason why your lids can’t go crease-free and perfect for an entire day or evening.
