Lipstick Tricks for Artistic Lips
When it comes to using makeup, lipstick is one of the trickiest to get right. Whether you end up with too much lipstick or no lipstick at all, it’s tough to get the application process down.
Here’s a great idea to help you get those lips looking incredible: Start by making sure that your lips are moisturized. If lips are cracked or chapped, lipstick will flake off and settle unevenly. Try to use a lip exfoliator if possible. This will help ease chapped and cracked lips. Apply a small amount of concealer or foundation around the outer edge of the lip line (this helps to prevent feathering). Use a lip pencil or lipliner, and trace the natural line of your lips.
Use a lip brush to apply the lipstick—this helps to distribute the shade evenly as opposed to applying it directly from the package. A lipbrush will allow the application to be more defined and blend evenly with the lipliner. Blot lips with a tissue and apply a light, translucent powder to set the color. Next, apply a final layer and blot once more.
Add gloss if you want to achieve that pouty finish!
