As a woman, you know how challenging it can be to keep up with shaving, especially if you’re the type of person who prefers to have your legs silky smooth. However, all of that time you spend eliminating unwanted hairs may be taking away from your life! The Huffington Post recently reported on a study that looked at British women and how much time they spend shaving their legs, as well as taking care of unwanted blemishes and hair on their faces.

The results of the research showed that women spend approximately 72 days of their lives shaving their legs in order to maintain their smoothness. The Telegraph based this information on the assumption that women take about four minutes to shave their legs six times per week.

If you happen to be one of the many who devotes an ample amount of time to beauty tasks, make it a little more enjoyable! Redbook magazine recommends avoiding dry shaving and opting for shaving creams that can give you a luxurious experience. Additionally, moisturizing regularly throughout the day and using an exfoliant on your skin can reduce the amount of blemishes you have to tackle.

About Lia Marchand

Shayna Murphy is a beauty blogger from Amherst, Massachusetts, who can trace her love of beauty products back to the one afternoon when she convinced her grandmother to buy her lime green nail polish. She enjoys cooking (Indian-style dishes are a specialty!), is a bit of a history buff and collects antique milk vases. Shayna reports on the latest makeup, skincare and fashion trends and will try to convince you on a regular basis that yes, you really should wear sunscreen daily. My favorite beauty product is... - Anything containing sea salt. It's probably the most amazing exfoliant I've ever used and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smoother than ever. Can't leave the house without my... - Lip gloss. The rest of the day can be a total bust, but if I have a great gloss on I feel like at least I've done one thing right! I would describe my style as... - Definitely au naturale. While I love exploring new shades of eyeshadow and liner on special occasions, for me the most important part of any beauty regimen is keeping my skin clear and blemish-free.
