Rock A Retro Hairdo

Recently, Hilary Duff was spotted by Glamour magazine’s beauty blog members sporting a hair bump that was so big it almost crossed the line into “don’t” territory. However, Duff’s use of a headband to anchor the base of the bump helped to detract attention from the sky-high size and made it a completely doable ‘do.

The half-up look was well-received by readers, and many thought the style would go perfectly with a flowing sundress or an artsy ensemble that could use a hint of retro glamour. If you like the idea of how this ‘do sounds, here’s how to get it at home.

After showering, apply Leonor Greyl – Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice (Volumizing Styling Mousse) and blow dry your hair upside down. This will create tons of volume, which you need to pull off such a large bump. Make a part halfway to the crown of your head, then tease the hair a bit at your crown to fluff it up. Push it forward, then secure the back with a ponytail holder, barrette or bobby pins. Keep it in place with Leonor Greyl – Structure Naturelle (Strong-hold hair spray), then slip on a headband where the part ends. Easy and chic.
