Secret Garden Makeup
Cosmopolitan magazine recently featured a runway makeup look from the Alice + Olivia show that’s definitely worth trying at home. The “Secret Garden” theme was meant to mesh with the sequined, pastel clothing of the models, which means if you’ve got similar tastes, this style should be right up your alley.
Prep your face as you usually would, using primer, foundation, concealer and a hint of peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks. Paula Dorf – Cheek Color Cream is a good choice that’s fairly translucent, so your natural skin can shine through.
Next, pick an eyeshadow in a leafy green color, like the Sea Glass shade in Youngblood – Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad (YB56-Mermaid). Sweep it all over your lids and don’t be afraid to go above the creases so a bit of the color shows up even when your eyes are wide open. Dab a shimmery green liquid liner all over your lids for a bit of shimmer, then finish with a sweep of black eyeliner above your top lash lines. Wing it out a bit for an added touch of glamour.
The look calls for some serious lashes, so pick a mascara with lengthening and volumizing qualities so your fringe will look long and luxurious. So pretty!
