The Pink Hair Trend
If you’ve been paying attention to celebrity style recently, you’ve probably noticed that pink hair is in. Celebs like Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani and Lauren Conrad have all been spotted with hints of pink, and if you’re looking to go a little wild in the near future, you may want to think about trying it out.
To get the look permanently, you need to have light hair to begin with or have it bleached in order for the color to show up. It’s best to have a stylist do this, because an at-home bleach job probably isn’t going to turn out well. Once you get the color, make it last longer by using a gentle shampoo, like Leonor Greyl – Bain Vitalisant B, which will keep it shiny. A hair masque, like BORGHESE – Fango Active Mud for Hair and Scalp, is an added bonus for truly moisturized hair.
If you’re not quite ready for dye, try a couple of pink extensions, which can last for months. Your hairstylist can apply them with a special tool which attaches them to your existing hair. Avoid putting conditioner directly on the bonded area to prevent it from slipping off. Otherwise, style just like you would natural hair for a cool, edgy look.
