According to the Beauty Department, using eyeshadow on your bottom lash line can draw attention to your eyes without making them seem smaller. It can also give you a softer look, which is great for occasions when you don’t want your makeup to look too harsh – like at work.

Use a smudging brush, to create a line of eyeshadow along your lower lash line. You can choose any color you want depending on what your preferences are. The effect works well with shimmery colors like white or pink, but you can go bolder with shades too.

For a bit more intensity and a longer-lasting application, The Beauty Department recommends dipping your brush in water before the eyeshadow. This will create a creamier formula with more pigment.
