Okay, so most of us are coffee addicts, swigging multiple cups of joe every morning. But what does this have to do with your appearance? The answer – more than you think.
According to ELLE, coffee intake should be kept to a minimum, but when it’s used as an ingredient in a topical product, it can have surprisingly beneficial results. While drinking too much coffee can dehydrate your skin, ground up beans have quite the opposite effect when applied to your skin.
“Numerous studies point to coffee-derived caffeine’s skin-tightening and redness-soothing properties, making it the perfect antidote to undereye pouches and rosacea,” the news source reports. ELLE also recommends anticellulite creams with coffee ingredients, which serve to temporarily minimize cellulite visibility.
