There’s nothing more fun than sitting down at your vanity and taking the time to apply a full face of makeup using a bunch of different products. A very involved makeup look is always fun for a night out, but sometimes an occasion calls for a more subdued effect. If you’re looking for the perfect simplistic inspiration, actress Caroline D’Amore has a few pointers you should consider.

According to Glamour Magazine’s beauty blog, the actress showed up to the Los Angeles premiere of Katy Perry: Part of Me recently wearing a pretty champagne and pink makeup combination that let her features shine through. Her dewy skin was likely the result of diligent moisturization, so you may want to start there before you put on your foundation.

Once you have a nice dewy base, use a pink cream blush in Pink on the apples of your cheeks. Then use a black eyeliner pencil on your inner rims and draw a very thin line across the top lash lines. Sweep on a champagne-colored eyeshadow with plenty of shimmer. A couple coats of black mascara and a sweep of shiny pink lip gloss is all you need to complete the look.
