How To Pull Off The Easiest Polka Dot Manicure Ever
Polka dots are no stranger to the fashion world – they’ve been one of the most popular prints for ages. But they’re a bit newer to the beauty world, especially in the realm of nail art. While you could always painstakingly paint tiny, uniform dots on all 10 nails, there’s an easier way to rock the trend without having to obsess over placement.
All you’ll need for this look is a few colors of nail polish from a collection like Lippmann Collection – Nail Lacquers. White is a great color to have for the background, and two or three other shades that work well together can be your polka dots. Orange, coral and yellow will look nice for summer, while green, blue and purple could work anytime.
Paint your nails with a base coat, then apply two thin coats of the color that you want in the background. Let it dry completely, then prepare to paint on those polka dots. You could use a small paint brush, a toothpick or the brush that the polish comes with to create them – it depends how big you want the dots.
Start with the lightest shade and make polka dots – concentrating on the tips of your nails. They can be as far apart or as close together as you want. Follow up with the next two colors, layering the dots for a clustered effect. Finish with a coat of Lippmann Collection – Addicted To Speed Ultra Quick-Dry Top Coat and you’re done!
