Metallic Eyeshadows Are Easy To Mix And Match
The Academy Awards featured a lot of glamorous fashion and makeup on the red carpet, and the after-parties were no exception. One striking trend that appeared on Olivia Wilde and Heidi Klum was mixed metallic eyeshadow.
According to Glamour Magazine’s beauty blog, metallics are some of the easiest eyeshadow shades to pull off. They’re neutral, which means they go with everything and are practically fool-proof to apply.
A general rule is to stick with the colors that look best with your skin tone. If you wear gold jewelry, you’ll probably look best in gold or bronze shades, while ladies who wear silver or white gold baubles would look great in steel or silver shadow.
Pick up a couple of different metallic shades. You can use them in a variety of combinations, like putting white gold shadow on your upper lid and yellow gold just underneath your lower lash line. Likewise, steely gray could be used on the outer corners, while silver could be used on the inner corner.
After you figure out which combination works best for you, don’t forget to finish up with two coats of a mascara.
