You might think that pink eyeshadow has no place in your makeup bag. After all, you’re not a middle school student who’s just started experimenting with beauty products. However, before you rule out delicate pink shadow altogether, you should know that Sophia Bush recently made a huge case for it at the Songbirds’ Miss Me album party.

To match her pink and black outfit, the actress chose to mimic the shades with her choice of eye makeup – a total DO. And the best part is that she only needed three products to do it. First, she used a black eyeliner like Youngblood – Eye Liner Pencil just along her upper lash lines. Then she followed up with a wash of a shimmery ballet-slipper pink shadow like bareMinerals – Eyecolor Cultured Pearl. Finally, she swept on copious amounts of black mascara (and probably used a few false eyelashes to boot).

How should you do the rest of your face? Glamour Magazine’s beauty blog recommends thoroughly concealing any redness in your skin, otherwise the pink shadow might not have the same flattering effect. You should also choose a peach blush instead of a pink one to avoid looking too monochromatic.
