Fixing Overplucked Brows
Whoops – you got a little crazy with the tweezers and ended up with brows that are much thinner than you’re used to! Is there anything you can do? As it turns out, there’s plenty.
If your plucking enthusiasm has left you with wisps of hair where you used to have fierce, strong brows, there’s a new word you’ll have to add your vocabulary: brow pencil. Brow pencils come in many forms, from gels and liquids to actual pencils to powders, so you’ll have to decide which works best for you. Once you’ve selected a product, use quick, short strokes to draw on additional hairs where your brow looks thin and set with a bit of brow gel so it’ll last all day.
When it comes to colors, be picky when deciding. If you go too dark, your pencil will be noticeable – but if you’re too light, it won’t have any effect. Try matching the pencil to the color of the hair on your head for an accurate find.
Now comes the hard part – letting your brows grow back. They might look a little wild while you wait for them to become thick enough to be reshaped, so to tame flyaway hairs, spritz a little hairspray on your finger and run it over your brow to hold it in shape.
