Recently, Dolce & Gabbana created a stunning makeup look inspired by Sophia Loren that turned a lot of heads. With these simple steps, you can channel your own inner film goddess, even if you are just strutting down the sidewalk instead of the catwalk.

1. Start by reaching for a rich cream foundation and evenly distribute it across your face. Follow up with a light layer of pressed powder for a matte finish. Vogue magazine reported that makeup artist Pat McGrath then swept a rosy blush from the apples of models’ cheeks all the way up to their hairline for a flirtatious flush.
2. Sweep shimmering gold shadow across your lids to draw light to your eyes, which is crucial for the romantic Grecian vibe.
3. A winged eye effect is another key aspect of the D&G look. To achieve this shape, use a liquid or gel liner along the upper lash line and extend outward and upward slightly at the edges. Don’t be afraid to draw on a slightly messier line, either – this cat-eye should not be short on attitude. McGrath actually used a Q-tip to smudge the liner a bit.
4. Bold brows are another key component: They emulate the Italian film star’s iconic style. Start by filling in the brows with a pencil in the same shade as your hair, then brushing them to blend the pigment. Make sure any strays are plucked so they don’t detract from the striking shape and use a dab of brow gel to keep hairs in place.
5. Lashes should be so lush that you can’t help but bat them. Clamp a curler onto your fringe once or twice to shape them, then sweep on a lengthening brown mascara only from the center of the lashes outward to really make eyes pop. According to Elle magazine, McGrath didn’t apply mascara to the bottom lashes to ensure a wide-eyed effect.
6. Most importantly, you’ll need to paint on the perfect pout to emulate this look. Vogue noted that McGrath actually blended a sheer nude lipstick with a delicate peach shade to get the right angelic hue.
