Makeup Faux-Pas That Are Okay For Fall
While some of fall’s beauty trends may not seem so surprising – jewel tones are favored over pastels, bright pouts give way to bold-colored lips – there are a few autumn makeup tips that may shock you, as they are often thought to be major faux-pas.
According to InStyle.com, one of the hottest looks this season is too dust eyes with a bright-colored shadow and then paint your pout with a contrasting shade. “A simple stroke of the unexpected looks really modern,” makeup artist Robert Greene told the news source. Daring divas can try pairing green eye makeup with cranberry-stained lips, or purple shadow with bronze pouts.
Though it seems that experts speak about the dangers of matching your makeup to your ensemble, a little bit of coordination may be quite flattering in fall. Instead of covering your face in tones that go with your threads, simply select a hue from your ensemble and slick on a lipstick of the same color.
However, there are some colors to avoid, regardless. According to the website, it’s “best to stick with timeless reds or rich, deep tones – steer clear of bubblegum pinks and frosty hues, which could push the look into costume territory.”
From eyeshadows to lipsticks, Jane Iredale offers a wide range of products in a plethora of colors, perfect for trying out the latest fall trend.
